71 Days until my 1 Year Surgiversary!
I’m not usually a sucker for infomercials or Made For TV items. Sure I get suckered into watching the infomercials once in a while, but I really never buy the things that I see. I’ve seen the infomercial for Jillian Michael’s Body Revolution (JMBR) several times now. I had been contemplating doing P90x or Insanity, so JMBR spoke to me. I know she can be annoying, and aggressive, but I adore Jillian Michael’s. I listen to her pod-casts every week, I watch when she’s on shows. I think while she can sometimes be militant, she is also thoughtful.
So why not P90x or Insanity? Frankly they scared me since 1-I cant do a single pull up; 2-I have no where to install a pull up bar; and 3-I don’t want to commit to 60+minutes per day when I know that my schedule doesn’t always allow for that. Actually I don’t think that Insanity requires the pull up portion…
I ordered JMBR a couple of days ago and it should be here mid next week. I am excited for a new challenge! About the program:
- It’s a 90 day program
- Consisting of 6 workouts per week
- Three Phases
- 4 weight bearing workouts per Phase
- 1 Cardio workout per Phase
I don’t have the program yet, but from reading others accounts, it sounds like you do the weight bearing working out in the AM and then the Cardio in the evening. A lot of the reviews I read do either the included cardio workout or their own cardio workout. I will see what I think of it and then decide from there.

I used to be so pro-Jillian, and then during her last season on BL, I felt like she started to believe her own hype, like she was a caricature of herself. But she is an amazing trainer, and I do think you’re right about the fact that she cares.
Can’t wait to hear more about the system once you get to use it a bit.
