Jillian Michael’s Body Revolution Weekly Recap #WLS #VSG

This week I saw a lot of improvement in strength, balance, form, and endurance.  Successful week 2 in my book!

I finished up the first half of Phase 1.  The schedule this week (I’ve included the dumbbell weights used as well):

  • Monday: Workout DVD 1 (3lb and 5lb)
  • Tuesday: Workout DVD 2 (3lb and 5lb and resistance band)
  • Wednesday: Cardio 1 (no weights used)
  • Thursday: Workout DVD 1 (5lb and 8lb) OUCH
  • Friday: Workout DVD 3 (5lb and 8 lb and resistance band) double OUCH
  • Saturday: Cardio 1 (no weights)
  • Sunday: OFF

I purchased 8lb and 10lb sets of dumbbells off of Amazon.com this week.  They arrived on Wednesday.  Just picking up the boxes that they were in scared the crap out of me.  I was so happy that I was able to use the 8lb ones already.  I remember not to long ago not even being able to use the 2 and 3lb dumbbells for the entire 30day shred.  Soon enough I will be up to the 10lb ones.  For now they are sitting waiting for me.

The cardio is tough, but I can get through it without issue.  I like the interval way of working out because after you do the workout the first time, you know what is coming for you.  Of the three DVD’s in the first half of Phase 1, Cardio is my least favorite, but I keep doing it anyways.  I will probably miss Cardio 1 once I get to Phase 2 :)

Next weeks schedule will introduce two new workout DVDs.  Workout Disk 3 and Workout Disk 4.  I’m nervous and eager all at the same time.

  • Monday: Workout DVD 3 (weights TBD)
  • Tuesday: Workout DVD 4 (weights TBD)
  • Wednesday: Cardio 1 (no weights)
  • Thursday: Workout DVD 3 (weights TBD)
  • Friday: Workout DVD 4 (weights TBD)
  • Saturday: Cardio 1 (no weights)
